Greetings,

Another second Tuesday of the month, another LUG meeting over with, nothing to
do until next month *BUT WAIT* there is something *YOU* can be thinking about.

Next month on the 9th(*) we are hoping to host a small party and pub quiz in
the name of fun.

"but what can I do" you ask.

. bring food/drink and hunger, remember the Bar is next door for beers etc.
Hunger is the most important thing to bring as last time we ended up with a
ton of left overs.

As for the quiz, please email lug.pub.quiz.2009 at jumpstation.co.uk with any
ideas you have for
. questions/answers
. activities
. prizes ( in the £5-£15 price bracket)

The more questions you submit to me (that I use), the more chance you have of
getting them right on the night !

Questions that result in "I did not know that", "ha ha" and "no no, I do it
this way" are always best received.
Try and aim at the broad range of LUG visitors, from system admins to
programmers to end users and enthusiasts.
Its called a Linux pub quiz but feel free to add computer hardware,
networking, in fact, anything interesting/fun.

examples:
"What does the 'O' in CMOS stand for ? "
"Linus Torvalds was once bitten by a what in Australia ? "
"vi or emacs ?"
"the machine has become unresponsive due to a program taking up all the cpu
how can you synchronise the data in memory buffers to the hard drive, unmount
file systems and reboot?"
Contents of the sealed envelope "Draw tux the penguin as quickly as possible"
