No idea, but you're not the only one having problems.
Mine is with formatting the boot partition, comes up with a really strange
error. I eventually got it to work though.
My laptop also throws the kernel panic messages (or whatever they are) up on
screen during bootup, I think I get three seperate ones - I'm assuming they
are for drivers/modules for hardware that I dont have in my system.
