Well, I had an AIM account and I forgot the password.  Using Gabber you have 
the option of sending clear text passwords so I did and ran a sniffer to 
retrieve it.  So this made me think, hmmm, if I can do that, etc etc.....

So, I don't use telnet for the reasons you've pointed out.  So with MLDonkey
being closed source, with it using telnet for connection, it makes alarm
bells ring in my head.  What code is in there that I dont know about and I will
being using plain text passwords to access it.
