[Hudlug] ubuntu with speakup

It sounds like it could be possible to configure Ubuntu to work with 
Speakup.
Someone has told me briefly how to do it with the Espeak software 
synthesiser.
apt-get install speech-dispatcher speechd-up espeak
should do it for you.  Note that some reconfiguration of
speech-dispatcher will be required in order to make it work properly.
