[Hudlug] problem with gtkpod

someone has read out the numbers to me of my i-pod but i don't 
know which one to use when setting up gtkpod.
the information i have is as follows.
serial number ym840bdf5b7
model a1285
emc number 2287
i couldn't attend the february lug meeting if there was one 
because of the snow and my family are not linux or mac users so i 
still have not found out about transfering music to my i-pod.
using copy and paste in rhythmbox only seemed to paste the album 
and track names of a cd i tried to transfer the contents of.
