no additional hardware was added to the laptop when i bought it.
it has default 150 to 250 gig hard drive and it has 4 gig ram.
it was being used as a demo machine in staples just like my
previous laptop which was a compaq presario 140 which i bought
from pc world.
i used the standard jaunty live cd but it wouldn't boot from the
cd when i tried it.
someone suggested something like f12 left arrow and enter
sometime during startup so it will boot to the live cd and
someone else suggested i might need to alter something in toshiba
setup in order to get it to boot from the drive which is not
something which is practical as it requires sighted assistance
which i unfortunately do not have most of the time and my family
are not linux users.
