Has anyone bothered with Smoothwall ??? (www.smoothwall.org). Works well
with all the USB ADSL Modems and there are a number of mods available which
are pretty simple to install. I've run it for about a year and a half now
using an old Westell USB ADSL Modem that MT forced me to have.

Obviously you need a dedicated machine for this, but I run it on an old P166
with 1Gb hard drive and 32Mb Ram (an old DELL castoff from work) and it
works fine, and can be set up in 10 minutes. Worth a try if you have a
spare machine and want to through together a decent firewall/router in a
rush.
