If RPM based distros wanted to change to something like apt or similar 
would you support it? It is a known fact that the apt system is better 
but is RPM so entrenched in distros that no-one would consider changing? 
Do you see it more as a "if it aint broke, don't fix it" scenario?

What about LSB, is RPM still a requirement for it?

Just wondering because I know there are quite a few Fedora, Mandrake and 
SuSE users here, the rest of us seem to use Ubuntu/Gentoo.
