No idea on your networking problem.  I have been able to use rmmod on 
some modules in Fedora 6 if I remember rightly.  (I'm on my play Ubuntu 
at the moment though so can't check.)  I'll check my notes.

Dunno why they chose not to put /sbin on the path - but you can put it 
there in your bash config really easily.

A similar question for the Ubuntu pundits though:  Ubuntu sets up home 
directories so that everyone can read each other's!  Like what happened 
to privacy?  I manually went through and reset the privileges. After 
all, what's the point of having a reasonably secure operating system and 
a firewall shut down to extremes and then letting auntie Doris check my 
browser history?  Is there some way to set the default permissions for a 
new user directory?
