Hmm. It boils down to who you want to believe. Consider this extract
from a more recent article:

So it's down to who you want to believe. I'll try to get some reactions
from Munich city officials and post them if I'm successful. One one the
joys of being retired is having to pursue this stuff so that you all can
get on with your more important stuff.
