Also give gutsy ago - my AM2 now actually shuts down properly thanks to gutsy</blockquote><div><br>Well if I put in a Ubuntu 7.04 Live CD I just get the Ubuntu 'knight rider' moving bar for a while, then a blank screen. I have turned off ACPI but get the same thing. If I try an Alternative CD the installer says it can find a HD even though I have a SATA drive attached.
