</font></blockquote></div><br>Slackware was the first Linux version I installed via floppy on an 486SX laptop back in 1997. Even then it was a lot of floppys At that time my only network link was the university NT4 network so I downloaded it one disk at a time.....<br>
<br>Stopped using it much after that due to it being very clunkey lack of package management was a killer. Used Redhat for a while but never really liked it. Then switch to Debian although I do use Ubuntu these days mind so do half the Debian developers..... and thats great.<br>
