Compared to a standard x86 machine now it is specialist, in that its low
power, low Mhz, low memory compared to an ordinary off the shelf box.

Its bottom of the line in other words, built out of hardware less suited to
the current OS requirements.

It might run well, however, have you noticed anything missing?

The eeepcs shipped with XP don't use NTFS because it wares the SSD out very
very quickly... The next gen windows ones have a HDD because of this. This
is only one of the items that requires removal.

In itself SSD is specialist and requires a file system that does write
minimilisation and ware leveling, neither of which are available in either
of microsofts file system formats.
p.s. please don't just pick on points to argue, its a bit boring now from
this list. every time I make a comment, some pissy twonk wants to pick me
up on the semantics of my language.
