Hi Julia,<br><br>Well Wikipedia suggests reliably that the Bourne Shell was 1977 which indeed corresponds to my copy of Bourne's book.<br><br>The SIMH emulator for various old CPUs can be used with a free to use copy of old versions of Unix so if you desire you could easily ascertain the veracity of your assertion.<br>
