Martyn,

I forgot to comment on VDU pixel settings.

I chose 800 x 600 initially, because I haven't yet sussed out the VDUs 
that we have. If they will all do 1024 x 786, no problem to reset X 
servers accordingly, but at least we should see what we are doing in the 
first instance.

I managed to get a simple DHCP server running at home, so I could carry 
on using existing static IP addresses while accomodating any new 
additions easily. It was a simple setup, done to discover how to do it.

BTW, I have one of the 'Tiny' PCs here. It appears to have an 'iffy' 
graphics card which in any case does not appear to be supported under 
Linux for SVGA.

Next time that I get down to the Folly, I'll pick up the boxes/bags of 
graphics, network and other cards for sorting/checking.
