Yep, that would sort of make sense as a reason to me as well.

Is there any desire with any members of the LUG to put together some
small scale individual testing of the Open Source options on offer out
there, perhaps with putting together a small demonstration / talk
available to all teaching members of local schools?
Or is that a little bit too much?
