A book which I have found to be very helpful is <br>
"Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL & Apache in 24 hours" by: Julie
C Meloni, ISBN 0-672-32489-X<br>
The time scale in the title is perhaps a little optimistic, however a
very good introduction never the less.<br>
