Then this is the position for you! <br><br>This position is a new Support position for the client, working alongside additional support and development teams your responsibility will be a mix of second line support, systems administration and project work. <br><br>Your main responsibilities will be: <br>* Providing second-line support (online and telephone based) to clients; diagnosing problems and providing fixes and workarounds in a timely fashion. <br>* Communicating progress to clients; ensuring you have a full understanding of their requirements and any problems. <br>* Undertaking software installations and upgrades; managing roll-outs to minimise the need for the development team to be involved. <br>* Helping with fixing bugs found in testing or reported by clients. <br>* Configuring the Linux web server clusters for maximum performance and stability. <br>* Applying security patches and updates to the Linux and Windows servers and developing a process to ensure that machines are kept up-to-date, without compromising service continuity. <br><br>You must have the following experience : <br>* Experience of administering Linux web servers. <br>* Experience of working with SQL Server databases. <br>* Knowledge of SQL and writing reports. <br><br>Any other skills will be of interest but NOT essential: Bash, Apache, Nginx, Debian or Python. <br><br>There is a strong focus on providing customer/client support in this role.
