Hi,

I've just joined this list. Good work getting it going. I'm happy to
help in anyway I can (which to start with is to pass on a message from
Aiden McGuire of Bluefountain Systems [based in the India Buildings]).

Bluefountain is an Open Source company (yes they exist!) and have
offered sponsorship to Liverpool LUG so that we have a place to meet and
enjoy ourselves at.

About me:

Well, some of you probably know me already - I've been around long
enough. I set up and ran (for a while) the St Helens and Wigan LUG until
the bottom fell out of it as well as being the head optimiser and bug
killer on Scribus. Recently, I've branched out and work on Novell's Mono
package as well as editing "C Vu" (one of the two magazines from the
Association of C and C++ Users : http://www.accu.org). I usually hang
around uk.comp.os.linux and a few other places.

I've been using Linux for years now and have loved just about every
moment. Even when my interest was nearly killed by SuSE 6.2, I knew it
had to be better than the dark side...

For a day job, I work at the University of Salford. I sometimes wish I
didn't, but I suppose everyone has times like that.

At home, I'm using FC3t3 (2.6.9 kernel) on my main box with the same on
the laptop (1), FC2 on my son's and wife's boxes and a server at work,
Slackware 9 on laptop 2 and FC2 on my other laptop. Ever get the idea
that I like FC? I've been with RH since the very early days....

Anyway, I'm here.

TTFN

Paul
