While i have not followed this closely - i believe that the concerns  
of the commission relate to competition. And that by Oracle taking  
over Sun and getting mysql into the bargain this may have negative  
competition implications. The fact that both orgs have difference  
segments of the market may be less of a factor than the overall  
impact on competition. Also what is interesting is that the number of  
orgs intending to use mysql is rising exponentially whereas for  
Oracle with its fairly expensive offering - the new sales market is  
difficult - in the current economic climate.

What seems to have sparked this event is an attempt by Oracle to  
influence the opinion of the commission through a manipulated process.

Given that factor hope everyone who uses mysql for their business or  
the clients business - fill in the email and forward to the commission.
