think it would be a good way to talk about topics as a group, when we get to the pub we tends to get a bit fragmented or stuck in groups of 4 or 5 due to the layout etc

Yeah I think discussions on set topics could be really useful as a way to share ideas and debate things. Not sure if everyone else would be interested but it could be good. I'm happy to go with the group consensus on this though :)

Also after the improbity talk it got me thinking about group
discussions as that's what it turned into. Dose any one think having organized group
discussions on a set topic would work. Would anyone be interested?

I was pleasantly surprised. I would not say rundown I would
say rustic or well used.

It's easy to find ,we will need to post next time that it's
the door on the right as you enter that says basement also next time someone
remind me to take a copy of the Anarchists news letter so I can leave it in the
canteen at work.

I really liked the pub it was quite with ok music and "free" wi-fi.

Graeme.

Ditto. I said I'd post about phoronix, which is a hardware/software
magazine site devoted to the free/open-source/linux/solaris/games scene:

In particular, here's the article with comparative benchmarks of SSD and
HDD drives:
