NeXT machines are really rare in the UK, and also been snapped up by
collectors :)

Bradford University offloaded a shedload of NeXT machines a few years
ago, a few went into techies hands and the rest went to the
scrapheap...

IIRC, SGI machines are MIPS machines that run IRIX, which is a custom
UNIX for their machines. Some of the SGI machines were way ahead of
anything else in terms of graphics, shame they've slipped under the
radar in the last few years.
