FYI, ManLUG has started having meetings again in a new location (due to 
issues with the university). I'll be heading over as its been a while since 
i've shown my face in Manchester :)

ManLUG meeting, February 2010

The next meeting will take place at the Manchester Digital Laboratory,
or Madlab[1], from 14:00 on the 20th February.  Madlab is in
Manchester’s Northern Quarter, roughly opposite Common, and easily
accessible from Piccadilly Gardens, and Piccadilly and Victoria stations
at:

    36-40 Edge Street, Manchester M4 1HN

It has a giant robot in the window[2].

Configuring and Securing a Linux‐based Server

Daniel Botting will be talking about his attempts to configure and
secure a Linux‐based server, and discuss the approaches he took, and
what could be done better.

Daniel will also give his take on LVM - Logical Volume Management.
