Greetings all,

Happy New Year! Hope you had a good holiday season. The first Liverpool LUG meeting of 2017 is set for tomorrow night, Weds January 4th at 7pm. Sorry for the late notice but I think my brain has been on holiday mode until today.

Our talk this month comes from Paul Furley who's going to tell us about his adventures with PGP and email security. Quite topical at the moment with all the news of state sponsored hacking and privacy concerns.

We will meet at DoES Liverpool on the 4th floor of Gostins Building in Hanover Street as usual. The talk room is called Dinky and it's the first one you pass on the left as you head out of the lifts. There should be someone there from 7pm but the talk won't start until 7:30pm. Afterwards (about 9pm) we usually adjourn to a nearby pub for more time to chat and socialise. If The Hub downstairs is quiet enough that's a good option but other suggestions are welcome.

Everyone is welcome and no prior level of technical expertise is required or expected. We're a friendly and informal bunch so if you haven't been before don't worry about that.

Directions to DoES Liverpool can be found on their website here - https://doesliverpool.com/location/

Hope to see many of you there,

Dan

P.S - If anyone has something interesting they'd like to share with the group we could use talks for Feb and March so just let me know. You know you want to :-)
