Hi Andy

I have fairly recent kernels in both Suse (2..6.22.17), and Debian (2.6.18.6). Although I cannot see any reference to the Airprime driver, in either system.

From what I see on the net that is for the 2.4 kernels?

That'll be a hotkey event, install acpi-support and see if that helps
at all, check the contents of /var/log/acpid to see if its actually
registering the keypresses.

It's either fired off through ACPI or its own custom input device,
limiting the max speed that can be sent over usbserial. It would be OK
if your using a proper RS232 connection but for the likes of 3g modems
it needs a bit more legroom to support the full speed.

http://www.junxion.com/opensource/linux_highspeed_usbserial.html

Thats a nasty hack to the usbserial core, best way to go about it
(accordingly) is to use the airprime driver, i think 2.4.24 has it
already in the airprime driver (not too clear from the git commit
logs).
