God (Algore?) created the Internet so men and women alike could find porn 24
hours a day. Since most of these porn sites use Linux based servers, I think
porn definitely fits the remit of this discussion group.
On the subject of Windows questions - It wasn't that off topic. For the next
decade or so, we're going to have people who need/want to run a variety of
proprietary operating systems side by side with Linux. Hopefully, in the
fullness of time, they'll see the benefit of using free software and
eventually they won't use the closed source stuff at all.
I wonder if Vladimir would have a problem with a System V or AIX question on
this discussion group? After all, while these systems are clearly Unix based
they are fully proprietary.
Kind Regards,
Simon Johnson
Hi Scott,

My advice would be to try virtualisation, unless you particularly need
every ounce of performance your machine offers within each OS. My
personal preference is for VMware Workstation running on Ubuntu,
although one of my colleagues is more than happy with VirtualBox.
Hi all,

Just making a slight cross post from the Ubuntu UK list, Lucy from
Manchester Free Software is looking to try and organise a launch party
for Ubuntu Jaunty in Manchester for the end of April (24-28th ish).
So, just to assist a little, who would be interested in attending this
type of event?

I know Lucy is on the list so she'll see the responses :)
Becareful witht his one, I know XP and it's ilk doesn't really like it's
drives being reordered by GRUB. Maybe one solution is to have a
multi-install on one partition, then use the NTLDR/boot.ini to select
the OS version.
