Hi Sebastian,<br>
<br>
As I understand it, what is or isn't shown in the marketplace for
android devices is governed by a file in the application package
called 'AndroidManifest.xml'. More info here:<a
href="http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html">
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html</a><br>
<br>
If you can get hold of the .apk file, you can see for yourself -
although you'll need to decode the xml file because for some reason
they store it mangled in the .apk. 5 seconds of Googling resulted in
a perl script [1] that appeared to do the job: <a

Anybody knows if the, effectively, system requirements for each
app are accessible in some way? Is there a way to check what
resolution, OS version etc. each app is expecting? Or is it a bit
of "test and guess" kind of thing?

high enough level to run them.

The new tesco app for example shows up on all my phones and on
my PC

but won't show up on a Honeycomb tablet :/

thing

that pops to mind is the the phone is most likely not

truly stock Android, and could likely be a vendor

that has either been modified by the manufacturer or
the

mobile network you got the phone on.
