I was in Waterstone's in Worcester today, and found a nice Linux book.
It is "Teach Yourself Linux", and at nine quid it is excellent value.
It is by Robert Billing, published Hodder and Stoughton 2004.
It is a paperback ISBN 0-340-81204-4., and has twelve chapters.
The stated purpose is "proficiency and understanding".
All the major issues in installing, setting up, and running Linux are
covered.
including the CLI, scripting, office stuff, printing, networking and TCP/IP
just to name a few.

Geoff.
