Gentoo is definitely my preferred choice when it comes to linux, its nicely 
structured and logical. Best of all it has upto date packages and even 
bleeding edge if you want them. This is where debian really annoys me. Debian 
as a desktop is a no. And backports are evil.

Anyhow as for the sea food, its my one pet hate, but dont let that stop you!
