You go on holiday for a week and it all goes to pot ...;)

Hope you've all kept well while I've been off having fun.

Confusion seems to have arisen amongs you not least because of a duff
advert for September's meeting for which I apologise.

Having swallowing an 8oz tin of explaino I hope the following helps clear things up a little.

1. Revolution OS
----------------
This is still in planning. Removing confusion we have had
	"16th September"
	"please, not Tuesday"

I'll get back t'y'all tomorrow when I've had a chance to check my diary.

2. September Meeting (Now on web site)
--------------------------------------
We are running an awareness day. We need demos with which to make people
aware of Linux and Good apps that run on it. We don't want "I think we should demo Openoffice" we want to see you demo it to us. If you think arsenix(tm) is the greatest distro since sliced bread then I want to see it.

I'll be bringing my machine to suffer the demos (quick details: DVD/CDRW/NVIDIA Graphics/SB4.1 Sound/AMD 1GHz/256MB).

Some guidelines (random thoughts actually) for those wanting to demo something:

1. After installation your demo should be no longer than ~5-10 minutes.
2. Don't compare with other products. We want to come across as "Gnu/Linux/etc
3. Stick to your product, choice is great but it can be very confusing for those used to being spoon fed.
are great" not "a cheap arsed alternative to someone elses products"
4. I don't give two hoots if the apps will run on "Another OS". This is meant to be a GNU/Linux awareness day.

3. Install day / Awareness day
------------------------------
We thought about an install day, realised there was too much hassle and
the room we've got ain't big enough. We settled on a Gnu/Linux Awareness day instead.
I thought I had posted details of the where and when but I'll re-send tomorrow
just in case.

Have fun,
Duncan
