Absolutely - I've been running it for a good while now and managed to
reduce the number of wakeups per second from $something to
$something_smaller.

However - tickless support for x86-64 won't be available until 2.6.23.
As 2.6.22 just came out, 2.6.23 should be another 3 months away.
