This seems to be the most useful, and probably a good place to post your
issue.
They advocate manually nuking your tmp folders (~/.kde and ~/.kde4).
I'd back-up any autorun scripts or other tweaks you have made.
This seems to fix his issue, but then at the end he says he did a
re-install. :-S

This shows that Gnome suffers the same problem.  No resolution (sorry).

It looks like, for whatever mad reason, something thinks you have run
out of space.
Or maybe some installation got it's knickers in a twist.
Have you tried a purge and a re-install of KDE?
Heck, what about clearly our old packages etc with autoremove and
autoclean?  Maybe the exectpion being reported isn't 100% correct.
Is there any more info in /var/log/syslog or other log file?
