Checking the SSD on this lappy - works like a treat and report 70 seconds.

So that was a good shout and checking current timeout, it's set to 30. Maybe that was the problem last time the RAID threw a wobbly, and it would explain why SMART reports zero issues. Going to dial it up to 180 and see how I go.

I will also go off an read-up on what the heck all this is. If I can squeeze it in between building ELK stacks and people excitedly telling me the new thing they just built - totally forgetting I walked them through how to do it last month.

Hey, it beats fixing date handling in Excel and arguing with IBM Web Sphere. Oh wait, both of those have been a pox upon my recent workdays. Sigh.
