<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Hello everyone. My PC has stopped working properly with any kind of Linux and the messages I am receiving are both numerous and complicated, with some only appearing on screen for a very brief time. As far as I am able to determine, Windows<span style="font-style: italic;"> is</span> working properly, but the problems with Linux, of any type, seem to be increasing with each new boot.<br><br>I have tried everything I can think of, which, admittedly, isn't a great deal, but have met with no success and I am beginning to think I might need to 'mend my PC with a new one' as my Mum would have put it. It's quite a large desktop model and I haven't the transport to bring it in to a LUG meeting; if anyone would be kind enough to find time to come to my home and give me an expert opinion, I could offer a good supper - my wife is an excellent cook - and
meet any expenses incurred. <br><br>I am disinclined to 'dump' my machine, but if push comes to shove, I'll have to, so I am throwing myself on the good nature of the Group to give me a 'yes' or 'no'.<br><br>Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.<br><br>Bob Marshall.<br></td></tr></table><br>
