I personally like to run local resolvers using Unbound on all of my<br>
machines. Even my Ubuntu laptop and my work Windows desktop. It's<br>
really easy to set up Unbound as a validating DNSSEC resolver, and I'd<br>
rather my laptop do the validation it's self than hand that off to<br>
another server on the network where it can be MITMd.<br>
