<div>Hello, Godfrey, and thank you for your email. I don't think it should be too big a problem putting any modern distro on your laptop, but I have to say I have NEVER had any success with cover-mount discs. There are some quite amazing distros available as .iso files to burn to a DVD and just about any machine can do that for you; from ther it should be pretty plain sailing. I have used Linux Lite 2.2 on three laptops to date and it is a breeze to install and it is very easy to get new software, such as Skype and Chrome, from pre-installed scripts. It looks good and is very snappy too.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>So, download a new image, md5sum it and burn it to a DVD and you should be laughing!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Good luck,</div>
<div> </div>
