Although I've read a lot of bad things about Paypal, I've never had any bad experiences myself. In fact, I've always found them very helpful on the few occasions that I have had problems with a transaction. <div>

I am enquiring on behalf of an ex-colleague who is arranging a reunion lunch in early July which is costing £10 a head. Some people have asked if they can pay online with a credit card via Paypal rather than sending him a cheque.<br>

I recall that some years ago there were many complaints about the way Paypal handled customers payment queries so I have never had any dealings with them.<br>
<br>
I wondered if anyone on the list had experience of using an online payment system for personal rather than business use and could make any suggestions or recommendations which I could pass on.<br>
