We running Centos on our servers now and they share the same
configuration files, I would image the date difference is down to
how it was packaged up.... <br>

Would seem strange to not have everything available. <br>

You did install the modules from YUM or PECL to ensure they get
put in the right location<br>

Hmm, not sure then - at least on Ubuntu the CLI and mod_php
versions do have different configs, but with CentOS I have no
idea.
