Hi all,

I have two bits of work available which may suit the freelancer /
student / unemployed:

1. (One off, and not quite Linux related) I have a client needing a few
changes making to an Access database. I attempted it and then realised
that it helps to actually properly know Access first rather than just
assume it'll be easy because it's databases with pictures, (as I did
:-)) ). I'd say as a minimum we're looking for someone who can create
forms and reports manually that accesses two different tables. Not
rocket science I'm sure but unfortunately not something I can put time
aside for.

2. (Ongoing, and there's a couple of issues needing attention now)
Another client of mine has two clients in turn who each
have a rig of four Linux servers which need occasional work.
Everything here can be done remotely, although I have occasionally gone
to site and worked for a good day rate and all expenses paid.

This work is available because I am really, really, *really* busy and
need less hassle, so if you're interested, please:

1. Just call me on 07843 580204 whenever suits. I'm normally
awake between 09:00 to 23:00 Mon-Sat.
2. Be sound/polite. I know a small minority of computer geeks
have slight problems with their attitude and think that all these
normal people (some of whom happen to have a lot of money to put our
way) are 'l0sers', but the last time I posted this here some guy mailed
me his CV and a brief note and then within about 30 hours (and before
I'd actually got round to his first e-mail to give him some free work
at no gain to myself) I'd had another e-mail off him saying something
along the lines of "Since you can't reply to my e-mail in a timely
fashion I hereby withdraw my offer to work for you". (No worries,
thanks for letting me add you to my "List of
people never to waste a minute of my time with" so quickly!)

To the right person,
i.e. someone who roughly knows what they're doing, would be able to
reach a resolve generally within 24-48 hours and is actually a nice
person to deal with, both are nice jobs for good clients that will pay
at least £30/hour and in your own hours, but of course
rates are negotiable. My problem is just that I'm juggling too many
clients and so can't be reliable for everyone.

As I say, if you're interested just give me a call on 07843 580204. Do
leave a message but if you don't hear anything with an hour or two just
ring again.
