<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Hi guys, I have had a couple of instances now where the screen freezes and I lose the arrow pointer. If it happened with XP i would press Control +Alt +Delete, but what do I do with linux.<br><br>I think it is happening when messing around with photo's. Not sure yet.<br><br>Thanks for your help. Roger<br><br>PS thanks to the help from Darren and Sam I have actually managed to download ubuntu 8.04 save it to disk and load a reasonably successful O.S.<br>There was 3 possible reasons why it did not work before. I should have saved to CD not DVD. I saved the program at too high a speed. I used nero to burn the disk but it might make a difference whether one burns as data or image (Whatever the latter is) Either way, any one of these 3 minor elements can be the difference between success and failure to a novice like myself. Thanks for your help
