HOW
ARE WE GETTING ON?



The
new Rustington LUG group which meets weekly




Thanks loyal support we have had 6 meetings so far
and hope for more! We are blessed with at least 2 active members, but
I am sure others will come forward to help us with demos, topics for
discussion, questions and otherthings.





We use Mint as our distribution for the
moment,although we look at Ubuntu and are aware of all the others
available.





Stuart has made us aware of “virtual box”, and
some of us have tried it out, which is very encouraging. Stuart has
also made us a very good wesite and helped us with our mailing list.





Derek has take our hand and given us a tour of the
“sky at night”, even though it was as seen from Paris! Sadly he
took it off my computer and I have to open the curtains to see where
Jupiter is sitting tonight.





Desmond Armstrong comes to talk to us next week,
amongst other things he will talk on Gimp.
