It happens monthly at a sports centre in Horsham and usually the room thatb we are given has a projector, a screen, and is adjacent to a sports room. Fortunately last night there wasn't too much activity next door, so the noise of a ball hitting our adjacent wall was absent. There was however a “music” session in the main hall, and we only had to pass through that area, ordering food and drink was a bit hard on the vocal system!

Dominic is good speaker and has excellent presentations to deliver. However I was not prepared having not read all the text of his project. Then I was not able to read the text very well, so as we know from our lug, if you can't read the screen it is a bit difficult. So I moved closer and that was an improvement. Then apparently we were advised to have vim and Git ready on our computers. I had vim but not Git, and it wouldn't load on Joli but did on Ubuntu, but then the text was too small!

Git was produced by Linus Torvalds, the originator of Linux.

So I was unable to follow the spiel on my computer.

Here at home everything is fine and I am very interested in Git. There is a very fine tutorial about it,

in fact there are many, but it gives you an insight into its use and purpose. It may not be everybody's

cup of tea.

Dominic promises more presentations, but if you are interested, vim and Git are a must!
