Maybe,

BROWSER=/usr/bin/mozilla
export BROWSER

Should be in your .bash_profile instead of .bashrc?

Subject: [SLUG] Unable to open documentation.

Hi following my problems with Mandrake 9. I'm unable to open the
documentation. When I try to open the English HOWTO'S I get the
response;

Failed to execute child process "$BROWSER" (No such file or directory)"

Last night I tried to add;
BROWSER=/usr/bin/mozilla
export BROWSER
 to my ~/.bashrc file.

However when I logged on again, I was still unable to open the howto's.

When I opened a terminal I was greeted with;

bash: BROWSER: No such command:

When I type env is see;

HELP_BROWSER=/usr/bin/galeon
BROWSER=/usr/bin/galeon

among the env variables.

I can find nothing in /var/log/messages connected with this.

Any ideas?

Al
