What a crazy way of calculating a date format, how the hell is anyone
supposed to know what the number of seconds in between 2 given time periods?
Unless of course you use the strtotime function, I bet ASP or Coldfusion
doesn't have one of these?

$start_date = strtotime("1 august 2002");
$end_date = strtotime("31 august 2002");

Furthermore it is reckoned that the fact that because the time value is only
a 32-bit number it will prevent really long distance space travel. Maybe on
the next shuttle they should scrap Linux and use NT, it does not give a toss
about accurate dates.
