I figured it was going to be like that. We use Citrix at work which does
the job I want, but it's a tad expensive.

Good. There is Virtual PC which emulates Windows on a Mac, but I think
that is a little over the top.

ZMud (http://www.zuggsoft.com), there is nothing that compares to it on
Linux, or even Mac(that I have found anyway):( - I refuse to sit on my
windows box to use it when I have a perfectly good apple/linux
combination, anyway, karen won't let me because she wants to play on it.

People may complain that X is crap but it does have some good features.
