The Cathedral and the Bazaar: Proposing a comparative framework


Abstract
This project seeks to explore the possibility that a framework can be
applied which will allow for a direct comparison of features and
operations between an office software package which has been developed
under a closed source software license (Microsoft Office XP) and an
office software package which has been developed under an Open Source
software license (OpenOffice.org 1.1). In turn this framework will allow
for the decision to be made as to which application best meets the users
criterion.
