Sorry folks I forgot to mention there will be an Internet link. Not sure
whether he meant for our Linux machines or just in the room though.

Subject: [SLUG] Meetings

Hi Guys,

At the last meeting I attended some of us were discussing alternative
venues for our meets. I suggested Scalby School and said I would have a
word with Tim Hutchinson, their ICT Co-coordinator. I was with Tim today
at a meeting and asked him if it would be possible for the SLUG meetings
to be held at Scalby School. He was very enthusiastic about the idea and
said we could have a classroom with large tables to allow us to bring
our own equipment. The room is a graphics classroom in the day and
includes an interactive whiteboard we could use. Great for demos and
group discussions. He also said that the cost would be met by community
education funding so there would be no charge. The down side to all this
however is that there is no bar. Ha-Ho nothing is perfect!

He was going to arrange it there and then but I suggested I should ask
you all first.

What do you think about the idea?

I'm not sure who books rooms for the group but either I can get back to
Tim for you or I will let him know you will be contacting him.

Either way if we could have a decision on this I would like to get back
to him.

Phil Kershaw
