That's the sort of stuff that I need to know more about... I recall 
setting up Red Hat x at university and being thrown by 'how big should 
my swap partition be... and for that matter what is it'. That very 
question made installing difficult for a windows user (me).

Nowadays I barely even look at the partition setup bar to check I'm 
putting it on the correct disk. FC uses LVM by default so doesn't even 
use normal partitions, I prefer it not to as I feel that you lose a bit 
of the control you have when you use normal disk partitions. However I 
just let it get on with it.

My point, before I started rambling, is that this is another example of 
a clear improvement for users, which however masks a lot of inner 
workings that I really should know.
