Yup, I had this problem for ages and ages and then one day, after doing
a full yum update, it just stopped happening. I also had problems
getting USB devices to automount as a result of this issue but, again,
the update make it work. 

Dunno why though or what changed.

So my advice would be to do a full update and see what happens!
