Hi folks,

I'd just like to thank John for a very well researched and delivered
talk on Richard Stallman. From the seven year old reading calculus
through his early years hacking at MIT to the creation of FSF to the
present day and his steadfast refusal to be swayed from his ideals.
Good stuff John!

The Valley Bar is a great improvement on other pubs SLUG has used in the
past too!

The evening was rounded off with general discussion about the library
stand which is getting closer in both terms of completion and to the
date it's due to happen.

Something I remembered as I drove away was to ask exactly what you
wanted in our personal descriptions John. I take it you want a:

Been using *nix for x long, use it for foo. Using bar distro, etc?

Plus screen and mugshots?

If you could confirm that I'll get mine finished and off to you.

Again, it was a good night the group seems to have matured nicely. I'm
looking forward to next month when the Catux-USB project is discussed.

Toodle pip,

Al

P.S. Fonts were mentioned and I said I'd look up a package which is
msttcorefonts in the Debian package management system.

P.P.S. Just before we left I asked if anyone was interested in Gnupg.
Have a look at:

http://www.gnupg.org/gph/en/manual.html
http://www.cryptnet.net/fdp/crypto/gpg-party.html

If this takes your fancy and this could then be another topic for
discussion.
